Brexit is no issue! China SLAMS claim UK's EU exit is bad for trade shattering ProjectFear
Talking to Sky News, writer Diane Wei Liang remained adamant that China will continue to pursue bilateral deals with the United Kingdom following the countrys formal exit from the European Union.
From Chinas point of view, Brexit is a non-issue. China wants to trade with the UK."
"I was just recently at a Chinese investors conference, one of many that were held in London, and there were lots of big companies coming to the UK. They're buying British milk, they're buying British farm [products], and they're looking for opportunities to cooperate in technology transfers."
Wei Liang explained that China would have no trouble establishing new trade deals in post-Brexit Britain due to the lack of previous commitment from Chinese companies in the country.
China has recently established this new project called The New Silk Road which starts from China and goes through Africa, the whole of Europe and to the UK. China is looking outwardly to trade with all nations, and trade with all economies.
Following the UKs decision to exit the EU there had been claims about the future trade agreement the country could have established with third parties.
Since the 2016 referendum the Japanese government has delivered two troubling letters setting out demands to its Western business partners to minimise possible losses caused by exiting the EU and the single market.
Wei Liang was quick to reassure that China would not stop working with the UK to establish new ties, citing a lack of previously established businesses in the country.
